Foreign Language Translations

5/02/2013

Now that your product filing has been approved, do you need to add a foreign-translation version of the forms?  If so, please keep in mind the following information regarding the certification of foreign language translations.

The IIPRC has a process for foreign language translations and filers should review its Operating Procedure for the Filing of Certifications for Foreign Language Translations for Product Filings.  The foreign language version of IIPRC-approved forms may be added to your product filing after approval at no additional filing fee.  The foreign language version of the forms must be submitted with a certification signed by an authorized officer of the insurer certifying to the accuracy of the translation and the credentials of the translator, signed by an officer of your company.

To add the forms along with the certification, please send a note to reviewer requesting the filing be reopened to facilitate this process.  When submitting an update, the foreign language version of approved forms and the required certification should be submitted on the Supporting Documentation tab, as separate items of supporting documents.  The forms will be given a status of "Received" and the certification will be "Approved".  Please do not include such forms on the Form tab.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact the IIPRC Office.
