SERFF SOI Template

5/10/2013

Your company has decided to create a new form to be used with a state-approved product and you will be submitting this new form through the Insurance Compact for review. Great; we look forward to working with you on this. Due to the number of forms to be mixed and matched with this new IIPRC product component, a business decision has been made that the SOI Template is the best tool to get this job accomplished. This week we wanted to highlight a few things regarding this new template.

First, the template can only be added to a filing that is in "Draft" status. While the SOI information may be added to the filing throughout the review process, the template cannot be uploaded and added to a filing post-submission. With this said, please make sure that you have all of the information included in the template before submitting the filing. If there is more available information to be added to the template, please make sure that you include it before submitting the product filing for review.

Second, since there are so many forms that will be used with this new product component, you may have to upload the template to the filing in batches. This is particularly relevant if the template has a couple hundred or thousand rows. We would also advise that you save your template while entering the information early and often.

Third, you may find the SOI template and instructions for using the template on the Insurance Company Resources page of the website. The specific name of the template is "Preformatted SOI Excel Spreadsheet".

If you have any questions about this information or mix and match and the SOI Schedule, please contact the IIPRC Office.
