Name of Proposed Rule: Group Term Life Insurance Uniform Standards for Accelerated Death Benefits

Subject Matter of Proposed Rule: Group Term Life Insurance Uniform Standards for Accelerated Death Benefits apply to benefits that permit the advance payment of some or all of the death proceeds payable under a group term life insurance certificate and that are built into or added to such certificates by rider, endorsement or amendment. The Proposed Standards accommodate accelerated death benefits for Employees and Dependents, referred to as Covered Persons.
