Today's Trio: Day 2 at Fall National Meeting

Here’s a look at what’s on tap for today during the Fall 2017 National Meeting.

Executive (EX) Committee

The Executive Committee (meeting materials) will meet at noon in the Kalakaua Ballroom AB – Level 4 in the Convention Center. The group will receive a status report of model law development efforts, hear a report from the NIPR board of directors given by New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner Roger A. Sevigny and hear a report from the Compact given by Virginia Insurance Commissioner Jackie K. Cunningham.

President and Wisconsin Insurance Commissioner Ted Nickel will preside over the meeting.    

Cybersecurity (EX) Working Group

The Cybersecurity (EX) Working Group (meeting materials) will gather today at 2:30 p.m. in 313AB in the Convention Center on Level 3. The group will hear the latest federal updates regarding cybersecurity. FICO, Zeguro and Coalition will give presentations.

Secretary-Treasurer and South Carolina Insurance Director Raymond Farmer, the working group chair, will preside over the meeting. 

Health Insurance and Managed Care (B) Committee

The Health Insurance and Managed Care Committee (meeting materials) meets at 2:30 p.m. in Room 312 – Level 3 of the Convention Center and will hear updates on the Center for Health Insurance Reforms’(CHIR) work related to the Affordable Care Act, consider a request for extension of model law development, consider adoption of the report of the Long-Term Care Insurance (B/E) Task Force and hear an update on the development of “Pharmacy 101” Education Sessions.

Maryland Insurance Commissioner Al Redmer, Jr. is chair of the committee and will preside over the meeting.
